1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, downloading, or using the Chronexio browser extension, website, or related software services ("Chronexio" or "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Chronexio is a local-first productivity browser extension that provides URL-anchored notes, task management, browsing analytics, and on-device AI categorization. The core features operate within your local browser sandbox via SQLite WebAssembly (WASM) and the Origin Private File System (OPFS).

3. User Data Ownership & Privacy

You retain 100% full ownership, rights, and title to all notes, tasks, bookmarks, and content created or stored within Chronexio. Chronexio does not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.

Your personal data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy and Google Limited Use Disclosure.

4. Google Drive Cloud Sync & OAuth 2.0

Optional cloud backup is powered by direct peer-to-cloud synchronization to your personal Google Drive Application Data folder. By enabling Google Sync, you authorize Chronexio to authenticate via Google OAuth 2.0 and manage configuration files in your hidden AppData folder. You may revoke this access at any time via your Google Account Security settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Chronexio, including but not limited to: reverse engineering or circumventing the software for unauthorized distribution, interfering with Google API quotas, or using the extension to violate applicable data privacy or intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chronexio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that local database storage will never be subject to browser-level eviction or device corruption. We encourage enabling Google Drive sync to maintain redundant backups of your workspace.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chronexio and its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the extension.

8. Termination & Contact

You may terminate this agreement at any time by clearing your data in Settings > Data & Cloud Sync and uninstalling the extension. For inquiries regarding these Terms, contact us at chronexio@gmail.com.
