Google API Services User Data Policy Statement

Chronexio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No Data Selling: We never sell or transfer Google user data to data brokers or advertisers.

No Ads: We never use Google user data to serve or target advertisements.

No AI Training: Google user data is never used to train generalized AI or ML models.

Direct Sync: Sync takes place directly between your browser and Google APIs.

What Google Data Chronexio Accesses

When you choose to enable cloud sync in Chronexio, the extension requests permission via Google OAuth 2.0 for the following specific purposes:

OpenID Connectopenid

How It Is Used: Securely verify your identity to sign into Chronexio without managing separate passwords.

User Guarantee: Allows you to sign into Chronexio with your Google account.

Email Addresshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email

How It Is Used: Associate your notes and settings with your Google account so you can restore them on any device.

User Guarantee: Identifies your account in the settings panel and ensures backups sync to the correct user.

Basic Profilehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile

How It Is Used: Display your account name and avatar within the extension’s account panel.

User Guarantee: Purely cosmetic and displayed strictly within your browser UI.

Google Drive Application Data Folderhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata

How It Is Used: Back up and sync your Chronexio workspace data (notes, tasks, saved sites, and settings) directly to a hidden, dedicated folder in your Google Drive.

User Guarantee: Chronexio only accesses files it creates inside this dedicated app folder. It cannot see, read, or modify any personal documents, sheets, or photos in your Google Drive. Your browsing history is never synced.

Google Drive AppData Folder Isolation

Chronexio requests access exclusively to the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope.

Strict Sandbox Guarantee:

Chronexio can only create, read, and delete files inside its own hidden application folder.
Chronexio cannot see, access, browse, or edit any of your personal Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Photos, or general Drive files.
Your raw web browsing history and analytics remain on your local device and are never synced to Google Drive.

How to Revoke Access & Delete Data

You maintain complete control over your Google connection at all times:

One-Click Complete Data Wipe

Inside the extension, go to Settings > Data & Cloud Sync and click "Clear All Data". This permanently wipes both your local database and all files stored in your Google Drive AppData folder.

Google Account Revocation

You can immediately disconnect Chronexio from your Google Account at any time by visiting your Google Account Security settings.
